Militant killed in pre-dawn shootout in south Kashmir’s Shopian village

Srinagar: A militant was killed in a quick pre-dawn shootout with government forces in Amishpora place of South Kashmir’s Shopian district.

Studies explained that Army’s 23 Para and Jammu and Kashmir Police’s SOG released a cordon all over an orchard in the village next inputs about the existence of militants in the orchard.

Police sources mentioned that as the cordon was tightened around the orchard, the hiding militants fired upon the forces who retaliated triggering a quick gunfight.

They claimed that a militant wad killed in the trade of fireplace whose identification is being ascertained.
